Alternatively, you can bring a foreign culture into your own home for your whole family to experience. In return, by hosting a foreign student you will look at life differently with a unique exchange of customs and lifestyle.

Ask the family to fill out a full application form stating all their personal information.
Ensure that all inhabitants at the hosting residence have individual and current Police clearances.
Make contact with the 2 referees listed on the family’s application, to ensure they come with strong personal recommendations.
Conduct a house visit of the residence and inspect the room in which the student will reside.
Maintain contact with the family prior to the student’s arrival and during the entirety of their stay.
Our partners both in Italy and France maintain the same standards of safety and complete all the necessary background and situational checks as the staff at Students of the World.
Students have 24-hour care during the stay in their desired country. Each student is assigned a local coordinator of whom they are free to contact at any time should they wish to discuss any issues or concerns. All coordinators speak fluent English and are trained and able to take immediate action should any serious issues occur.
Students of the World is a South Australian registered student exchange organisation.
We are registered with the Department for Education and Child Development as a non-for-profit Student Exchange agency and are listed under their approved exchange organisations.
We are members of CASEO (Council of Australian Student Exchange Organisations) as an approved Australian Exchange Organisation.
CASEO is a Victorian-based organisation which promotes the value of student exchange programs and is continuously working to improve the policy and regulations of its affiliated organisations. We work alongside six other registered exchange organisations within Australia and are in constant communication with relevant heads of state educational departments.
In November 2017, Students of the World was approved for registration with the NSW Department of Education as a registered student exchange organisation.
