From A Host

“My son Michael and I have had the privilege of getting to know Gwendal who is from France over the past few weeks. We have enjoyed looking at the World map and locating his home in France and it has been fun exchanging information about French food and getting him to try our Australian food.

Gwendal has been thrilled to see our wildlife and try to catch a fish or two when we go out on the weekends exploring.  We have enjoyed the experience of having a French student in our home, it has been fun and interesting.”

Who Can Host?

Our families that choose to host come in all shapes and sizes, it doesn’t matter if you are a single parent family, have nine children or all of your children have grown up and left home.

Anyone that is generous enough to open their home to a new family member and willing to embrace differences in culture and language is able to host.

What our host families do have in common is excitement and enthusiasm for meeting someone that speaks another language and the unique opportunity of seeing Australia through the eyes of their International Student.
